Easy Apple Tart Recipe

Hi guys,
Today I would like to share with you this ultra-simple and easy recipe for apple tarts! Apple tarts are one of my favourite desserts mainly because they remind me of my childhood when my mum used to bake Strudl on Sunday evenings and our whole house would smell like apples and cinnamon. Before you ask, why I made only two the reason is simple - I only live with my boyfriend and who does not like this sort of food, so I would rather make less than waste the rest! Especially when I can freeze the pastry and keep it for next, but no more talking let's get into the recipe if you can even call it that 😂

For 2 apple tarts you will need:

  • Chilled Puff Pastry Block (I used two slices)
  • 1 medium-sized Gala Apple
  • Cinnamon
  • 15g raisins
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
Start by taking the Puff Pastry Block out of your fridge and leave it outside in the room temperature for about 20-30 minutes. Meanwhile, grate 1 gala apple. If you want to use the whole block I would suggest using around 4-5 medium-sized gala apples.

Preheat oven to 200C. Once your pastry is soft, lay the pastry on a baking sheet (I didn't do and I regretted it later) and top each slice with grated apple. Add your raisins, add 1 tsp brown sugar to each pastry and sprinkle with loads of cinnamon!

After that, close your pasty and place in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.
Once the pastry is golden take it out and serve immediately with ice cream or you can keep it for later  and sprinkle it with some icing sugar 😋
